Role
Working within the Supply Chain Operations team, you will be accountable for the on-time delivery performance for a supplier work package. This may cover all variants of aircraft and will necessitate following activities: To carry out Vendor Scheduling through the management of Purchase Orders and Delivery Schedule Agreements and using the internet based eSupplyChain tool. To liaise and negotiate with the Logistics Requirements Planning Teams to achieve the best possible plan. To Link Supplier Plans to MRP. To review and act upon MRP scheduling exception messages. To manage inventory levels and safety stock. To monitor Supplier delivery performance and escalate any potential issues. To initiate customer protection actions in the event of supplier failure. To agree supplier improvement plans in conjunction with the Procurement organisation. To manage the implications of scrap, rejects and poor quality through responding to or initiating the QN process. To analyse delivery failure causes and implement customer protection actions and develop countermeasures to resolve the issues.
Requirements
The successful candidate must ideally have a supply chain operations / procurement background and educated to the minimum Degree or HNC level (or equivalent). Ideally with experience in Supply Chain Management, the successful candidate will have a working knowledge of Material and processes.
The applicant will need to have good communication skills, be able to work in a multifunctional team and successfully manage tasks. A flexible approach to change will need to be demonstrated, along with the necessary degree of motivation to succeed in a highly demanding environment. This position will require the successful candidate to work a level of flexibility including travel where required.
